I worked 11-3.. actually didn't get done til a bit after 3.. which is rare for a lunch shift.. I worked with two of my favorite coworkers though, so its okay. Then afterwards, Jeff and his coworker met me at the bar and we had a few drinks.. Jeff actually fixed something on my coworkers car (why doesn't this work for me?)..
Then I started to drive home.. I was driving our little green beater.. Its a 97 impreza coupe with 186,000 something miles on it and an AWFUL knock in the engine.. When we got home on Sunday night, Jeff mentioned that he had over 300 miles on the tank "but the light wasn't on yet".. (this lead me to believe that there was a light).. So I drove to the RE's office in the morning.. and to work after.. While we were sitting at the bar, I mentioned to Jeff that there was still no gas light on but the thing was buried on E.. He said.."It does that.." Ok.. So I meant to get gas when I left work (there is a gas station in an adjoining parking lot).. but totally forgot..and I didn't pass another gas station on the way home.. but since the light wasn't on.. I figured it wasn't a big deal.. Couldn't be THAT low right? WRONG.. I got almost home.. I noticed the car acting funny maybe 2 miles from home.. and to get home .. I have to stop at a red light going up a very steep hill.. The car didnt' like that so much.. The car stalled on the hill.. but THANKFULLY I managed to get it started again and get it up into town and park it on the street.. I attempted to limp it to a gas station, but it wasn't going.. I had to walk the rest of the way home.. Thankfully.. its only about a half mile..
Jeff came home a bit later and stopped at Carquest to get the serpentine belt for my car.. Then later.. he took me and the gas can back to the little green car.. Shockingly... the car works much better with gas in it.. I have made fun of my SIL many times because she ran out of gas twice in a year of having her car.. (her car DOES have a gas light.. but she claims it doesn't come on with very much warning).. My MIL has run out of gas in her car too.. surely she can't be that stupid? Oh.. I'm that stupid.. It had never happened to me before.. and I know it wouldn't have happened in my Jetta, because i know exactly how far I can (or WILL) drive with the light on..
Anyway.. after the whole car ordeal.. I went to Cheesecake Factory for a Nestie get together.. Turn out was a little lower than normal, but we still had a lot of fun.. And the food is so delicious... and I was SOO full!!! Jeff and Nick attempted to fix my car, but it is looking like its gotta go to a garage in the morning.. This is a bummer, but everyone says its not terribly expensive..
Now I'm just working on some laundry and watching the re-show of the Daily Show and Colbert Report. I heart Jon Stewart.

Cheesecake factory?? Did you have the fried macaroni & cheese appetizer? Or the peanut butter cheesecake? Sounds like you had a good time.
I'm tired just reading about everything you did! Stewart & Colbert are a staple in our house as well. Especially for Todd!
