PAI-1

This is a dr's "blog" on his thoughts/research on elevated PAI-1 and pregnancy loss.. They start at the bottom and go up.. There were a few previous posts, but I am not sure how to link to them.. they mostly have to do with late losses though.


A nestie asked me the other day if my Dr thought that this could have caused both my chem. pg and blighted ovum.. Well.. truth is.. he didn't get that specific.. He just said "It very well may have been a factor in your miscarriages". I do like my RE but he seems to tell me only what I NEED to know.. not a whole lot of details.. Which is fine.. I know that I have this and it may cause miscarriages..and that taking the heparin injections can/should help. He said I could come in for a consult if I wanted to.. but I decided to wait til I get pg again to save the $40 copay just to go in and have the Dr say the same things he said on the phone in person.. However.. I still find myself reading these medical articles, wanting to know more.. They are a little over my head though.. So I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all.
