Eve's little face, and an easier NST.

So when we went for our weekly biophysical profile/NST yesterday, we got a different sonographer than we usually have. While this lady gave me a bad first impression the first time we had her (at my growth scan at 24 weeks, which was really a confirm she's really a girl scan, she kept questioning me on why I was having a growth scan so early, even though my Dr ordered it.).. I really like the way she works a lot better.. The other girl just points out body parts quickly and says.."Everything looks fine"... this lady goes through a lot slower and looks at stuff, and then tells me details at the end.. For instance.. Eve's BPP score was 8 out of 8.. and my fluid level is 11, which is fine.. Both times, she has also really let us watch Eve really moving around. This time Eve was sleeping, but she got her to wake up for a few minutes and we could see her moving her little mouth and her little face just looks so precious.. The sonographer even said she was cute, although I suspect she says that to everyone, but *I* think that she is the cutest little baby I've ever seen.

Then the NST part went much better than last week.. Eve was quiet/sleepy at the beginning, but after a little bit she woke up and started moving around and they got the heartrate accelerations we were looking for. I found that threats work better than promising kittens. I threatened that if she did not get moving I was going to keep all three diaper genies we got for the shower instead of buying her a swing. Oddly enough, as soon as I said that, she started freaking out.. It was funny. I felt bad for the girl in the seat next to me.. She was there with her mom and not her husband, for one.. I am SO lucky that Jeff has the flexibility in his schedule that he can come to most of my appts with me.. And she was having contractions during her NST.. I do not know how far along she was, she looked a lot bigger than me, to me, but she said that they had given her the steroid shot to mature the baby's lungs, and if she went into labor they would not stop it. The nurse was asking her about the contractions she'd been having and she said she went to the Dr about it yesterday, and all her Dr really told her is that she'd probably go early.. Obviously she was looking for more/better answers... and I could tell she was so scared.. I couldn't help but feel SO relieved that I am having a relatively complication free pregnancy so far.

After that, we went to babies r us to return a few things.. We ended up getting a credit almost big enough to buy the swing, but I wanted to wait and see if we'd get any coupons for it.. so I thought we should buy something there in order to get coupons, but silly me, instead of buying one of the accessories for her room.. we spent $40 on carters clothes (they had a buy 4 items get 20% off sale).. I love all the stuff, but I need to stop buying clothes and start buying more practical things.. We did not NEED any of the stuff we bought (Except maybe the bibs).. but the cuteness got the best of me.

Tomorrow is my regular OB appt and our first childbirth class. I am so excited! I still haven't gotten any shower pics up.. My cousin took a ZILLION, but i manage to be making a funny face in just about every one of them.. So I have to pick out some good ones.. its hard when there are so many!
