35 week appt... and other news

So today was my 35 week Dr appt. My first of my every week appts. I had my cultures done for strep B and all that.. and then an internal. Cervix is still closed, but soft, and Eve's head is down low.. I asked my Dr today if we were still planning a scheduled induction. The answer is YES.. and the date will probably be 2/24, the day I turn 39 weeks. Things could change between now and then obviously, should i go into labor on my own, or something else with the baby changes.. And she said if my cervix isn't getting ready on its own by then, they'd probably just do a c-section instead of an induction. I scheduled all the rest of my Dr's appts up until then.. My last appt is the 19th.. My Dr didn't seem concerned at all about Evie being a little smaller on the last growth scan, she said if it was something to worry about the people at the hospital would let me know..

Also, we think that Jeff is going to get a Job offer today. He had been sort of talking to this place a little bit before he had gotten laid off.. but had never really made the move to go over there and officially apply for a position.. So he did that yesterday and talked to the guy in charge of hiring.. who said he just needed to speak with the owner, and then would contact him with the details and a start date and all of that.. We still have a month at least of insurance lapse to deal with.. The plan as of now is to go on the health insurance at my work, but they dont' contribute to it at all.. So its a lot of money, but still less than COBRA would be from Jeff's work. I am definitely worried about money still, but a little less worried now that it seems he will be working again soon! HOPEFULLY we will get the details this afternoon.

We have two baby classes tonight.. At 4pm we are doing Happiest Baby on the Block.. so I'm pretty excited about that.. Jeff and I are the only people in that class.. Then we have our last childbirth class. She is going to be talking about inductions and c-sections and epidurals this week.. How appropriate.
