I shall now blog about my Vacuum Cleaner..
I am absolutely.. freaking despising my vacuum cleaner right now..
I decided I wanted a new "better" vacuum cleaner for christmas.. So I asked MIL for one.. but I didn't want her to spend zillions of $$ so I didn't ask for dyson.. I did some online research and came up with the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser.. It was only about $150.. but it came highly recommended online..
Well.. it was giving me problems from the MINUTE I got it out of the box.. The little height adjuster never seemed right.. It didn't seem to do much.. and it seemed to work backwards.. when I set it to bare floors, the brushroller beat on my poor old hardwood floors.. I have to set it to "high carpet" to use it on the bare floors.. and even then I don't feel like its doing great things for my hardwoods.. It also seemed loud and sometimes kinda smelly almost right away.. oh.. and it weighs approximately a BILLION pounds and I can hardly carry it up the stairs myself.. but for the most part.. it did its job.. especially on getting the cat fur off the rugs and the couch.. So I decided to keep it..
Its no secret that i've been slacking big time on the house work since my two m/cs.. One was right after christmas.. so I haven't used the vacuum THAT much.. I just decided to vacuum the back of the couch with the cool little brush attachment that worked great the first time I used the vacuum. I don't think I've used it for the couch since then.. IT NO LONGER WORKS.. I tried everytihng.. Taking apart the vacuum.. vacuuming out the vacuum with the other vacuum, taking apart the attachment.. Nothing.. I tried the attachment on the other vacuum to see if its the vacuum or the attachment.. It seems to be the attachment.. which I guess is good news.. but this stupid vacuum cleaner is WAY more trouble than its worth.. I think I am going to go back to using my Little Eureka optima which was like $60 and works pretty good on everything except our cheap-o rugs that I bought for $20 each at Target in the college dorm section.. I feel bad, since MIL did spend some decent $ on the Bissell, but I find it to be a POS..
Anyone else have this vacuum? Do you hate it? Or did I just get a lemon vacuum?

I'm sorry you hate your vacuum.
I don't have that model, but I wanted to commiserate. Sometimes the little things really are the most annoying.
