WOW! So we went in for the NT scan.. Like i said the other day, deep down I knew everything was OK, but I was still nervous.. I slept OK last night.. but i woke up very nervous and edgy this morning.. After we went in and talked to the lady who took my history and explained the test and did my finger prick for the blood test.. I started to get VERY nervous.. There was a lot of talk of my m/c's, and not to mention, what if something ELSE was wrong.. We had to wait a while longer before we went in for the ultrasound and I almost started crying because I was so scared..
However, as soon as the u/s probe was on my belly I could see my baby and could see that it looked like everyone elses NT scan's, the right size and shape.. And it only took a few seconds to be able to see that little heartbeating.. HB was 171.. I definitely got teary eyed when I saw that heartbeating today! Baby measured 12w0D today, so I am going to be changing my ticker back to my Dr's due date of 3/3.. So I'm 12w1d! I forget what the NT scan measurement was exactly. 1.6 maybe? In anycase, it was a very good measurement..
I really loved the Dr that came in to discuss the results with me.. Probably because its in the MFM area of the hospital, but she seemed to know more than my other dr's about the heparin, and PAI-1 and she told me things that none of the other Dr's have told me before.. For instance, if my belly gets too bruised (its looking ROUGH lately), she said I can do the shot in my arms or thighs.. And she said that starting at 32 weeks I'll need to come in for biophysical profiles.. She was so nice.. and I felt like she really GOT it..
My big u/s is scheduled for October 3rd.. I'll be just over 18 weeks! I was looking at stuff on the internet about how you can guess what the baby is based on the "nub" at the 12w u/s.. and I think maybe it looks like a boy.. but for all I know, I'm looking at the wrong thing entirely.. And Jeff said that one of his coworkers asked the Dr/tech to guess at their 12w u/s and they said boy, but it was really a girl.. So I am not going to get too attached to any idea just yet..

What a cute little baby L! Congrats on making the 12 week mark, you two must be over the moon! My sister was told that they were 75% sure they were having a girl at the big US.....it was a boy! lol They thought 75% was passing, and did buy some pink! Oops.
