Evie had her 2 week old pediatrician appt this morning.. Everything looks good. She is up above her birthweight at 6lb 12oz...she had dropped to 5lb 13oz the day after we got home from the hospital, so she's gained almost a lb in 10 days. Dr says we can let her decide when to eat.. no more waking her up for feedings.. and we are starting her on vitamins.. she also got an inch longer and her head grew about an inch... The only thing that was a little different was the Dr thought her belly button still seemed a little gooey for having come off a week ago..so she put some chemical in it to dry it out.. Eve didn't mind but I didnt like it.. It looked like it hurt, even though I guess it doesn't..
After that, we came home and fed her, and then we ventured out into town (with the assistance of my mom). We went to eat lunch at Tim Hortons, then we went to the grocery store and the fisher price toy store to try to find more tiny baby socks.. They don't have them there. Apparently they are fisher price brand but they are sold at Family dollar, which we don't have right in town here.. At some point soon I am going to have to venture out into the world past town.. Eve slept the entire time we were out and also for awhile afterward in her carseat.. I actually got some stuff accomplished and my mom helped me put away our laundry.. I woke her up to feed her after about 3.5 hours.. and she is falling asleep again! I hope I don't pay for this with a wide awake baby all night tonight.
The slightly bad thing is that I think my gallbladder is starting to act up again.. It hasn't gone into full blown attack mode, but I have had some general discomfort in that area the last few days.. I really really hope it will clear itself up.. My dr warned me it could likely act up post partum.. but I was really hoping to avoid it. I guess I will just see how it goes for awhile.. :(

Eve is so adorable, sounds like she's doing great!
As for you gallbladder, I just wanted to tell you, I had mine out when my daughter was 9 weeks old, it started acting up when she was 4 weeks old. After a few days I felt AWESOME!! I can now eat normally and I never have to worry about that "attack mode" happening at random. Good Luck.
Wow - it is so amazing how quickly babies grow! And how cute is she! I just want to pick her up every time I see her!
And I'm sorry about the gallbladder - I really do hope it clears up on it's own and you don't have to go through that. :-(
