Dr. Appt Update.

So, this was my first appt that was a little less than standard.. Thankfully, the dr had made notes in my chart from friday, so they were ready for all my concerns. So.. i got to have my first lovely internal exam today.... oh.. and did I mention that i have a yeast infection too? (I thought I did on Friday, but I DEFINITELY did as of yesterday..and the Dr says it looks like a BAD one).. so that made everything WAY more fun.. Good news all around really.. My cervix is closed.. Dr felt it up and also measured it with the u/s.. She said it looks good, but she does want to have them measure it more accurately at my growth scan tomorrow morning. I MAY have a UTI.. the little stick test came back positive, so she is sending it to be cultured.. She seems to think that a UTI could cause the BH, but a Yeast infection probably wouldn't..So lucky me could have both. But other than that, we have no real reason for the BH..

As for the standard stuff.. Everything was good there too.. my urine was free of protein and all that.. I gained like 2 more pounds, so I'm up to 7 or 8 total. I went over the next "10 lb" mark though, so it was a little suprising to see.. I am gaining weight more rapidly now...I can't complain though... considering Evie weighs 3lbs at least on her own by now! The belly measured perfectly..and her heart rate was 151ish just like normal..

So my growth scan is bright and early tomorrow morning at the hospital.. I also have to set up my NSTs while I am there... I THINK they are every other week, but I can't ever understand Dr's scripts and she didn't really tell me.. I really like my Dr's office though. The nurse I had today was WONDERFUL..and this Dr is really great and understanding too..

Also today, I bought Eve a couple of sleepers.. I bought them in 12 month sizes..cuz I figure I will get less of those for my shower.. and they had kitties on them and the one was on clearance, and I couldn't resist.. And I got her a little bib on clearance too.. AND.. I went to Barnes and Noble and they had Children's Christmas Books 50% off, so I bought her like 5 books.. How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Madeline at Christmas (which I actually already had in a Madeline Compilation book.. oops), Curious George Christmas, and a couple of kitty-themed christmas books..

For myself.. I bought what I THINK will be my hospital bag.. I didn't actually buy it though.. In a strange turn of events, all the clothes that I wanted to donate to goodwill ended up at my MILs house.. and she, instead of taking it to goodwill, took it to this Clothing exchange store, where they "buy" used clothes, but they only give store credit.. I have $150 to spend there now.. which would be fabulous, if I weren't pregnant.. So the only thing the store has for me currently is tote bags.. The tote bags are all really cute, but how many can I buy? I returned the Maternity clothes my SIL and MIL got me for christmas.. because.. A) I didn't like them that much and B)I am only going to be pregnant for PROBABLY 8 more weeks.. I intended to buy nursing bras.. but I tried some on and just couldn't bring myself to do it.. The padded ones fit OK, but they don't seem to fold out of the way very easily, so this seemed to defeat the purpose.. The non padded ones were just a disaster on me.. And the nursing tanks just make me look flat chested and kind of lumpy. I wish that pregnancy made me grow boobs like it does for other people. So I just ended up getting those super stretchy camisoles that are one size fits all.. I got two of them.. They are really comfy.. and I think I will get a lot more use out of them than a red sweater and a gray/green/purple dress. I also returned the Uggs that my sister got me.. I had a little bit of guilt about it.. but i really don't want them. I just took the store credit for them though, I don't have the energy for shoe shopping and the store has some nice clothes (although pricey) but again.. I'm pregnant.. so I think I'll wait til after Eve is born and buy myself some nice clothes then.
