Last Dr. Appt.

WOW! So we are officially all set for Tuesday. No big progress at today's appt unfortunately.. Still 1cm dilated, she says 80% effaced.. So maybe a little more than last week.. but Dr says its still a good start.. Everything else was good. I'll stop the heparin Monday night and go in bright and early at 6 am on Tuesday. I am SO excited.. but also starting to get the teeniest bit nervous.

Jeff and I spent the rest of the day getting more stuff ready for Evie. I went to Baby's Sweet Beginnings and bought LOTS of stuff.. I bought my breastpump.. I was going to wait on it, but I decided why not just get it now.. I will leave it in the box and if something doesn't work out, I can return it. At least we will have it in the house when we do need it. I also got a nursing stool, a great Bravado Nursing Bra and a tank.. they were pricey but so totally worth it.. A ZILLION times better than anything I Had tried on at Target or Motherhood.. I was really frustrated with the nursing bras there and Jeff kept telling me that I needed to try them on at BSB, because if I NORMALLY spend $40-$50 on a bra at V.S, how was I ever going to be happy in a $15 bra from Target.. And he was TOTALLY right.. I felt a little guilty spending that sort of money on it.. but I really am going to commit to doing this breastfeeding thing, so I need to be comfy and happy. We bought some bottles, some breastmilk storage bags and a Woombie swaddler.. We got one that is white with pink ruffles on the front and on the butt. Its so stinking cute. Oh and a couple of soothie pacifiers.. So.. in short, we spent a LOT of money.. But everything i feel is totally worth it.

We spent a lot of time organizing our office today too.. It still needs work, but its getting there.. Then we went to walmart and got Jeff some shelves and a coffee table for his man cave room in the basement so he can get all his video games moved down there. (His old video game storage closet is where his clothes moved to when Eve's stuff moved into his closet). In Eve's room, we got the changing table pad all secured and the crib bumper tied in nice and tight.. I still want to put the decals on the wall, and apparently my mom has something that a friend of hers sent to either go on the wall or a dresser in the room..

Now Jeff just ran to our home town to go get me Pizza and Antipasto.. I have been wanting this pizza and Antipasto from this specific place for weeks now.. I am so excited for it.. Jeff is gonna do some more work in the mancave room with his friend Nick tonight, so I might do a little more work in the office.. Or I might just watch some TV and relax.. Tomorrow I work 11-5 and then Saturday 4:30-12.. Then I am done with work!

Sunday at my work, there is this big Charity event... It actually benefits the Special Care Nursery at our hospital. If any of you are in the area.. Its at Buffalo Brewpub on Main and Transit in Williamsville, and its called Dr. Andy's Day for Kids. There is a Chinese Auction, a Silent Auction, and Raffles, and all the tips at the bar (They have Drs. come be "guest" bartenders) go to the hospital. Also all of the profit on the food sales for the day go to the hospital. This link is a PDF file a little bit about it. Its a little crazy, but fun.. and obviously for a good cause. Hopefully my little Evie will not need the Special Care Nursery, but my best friends twins were preemies and in there for 3 or4 weeks about 3 years ago.. And I was a preemie myself and was at a different hospital, but it still is important to me! So check it out if you can!
