Baby L is doing fine!

So, after what seemed like an eternity searching for it.. I was certain that the ultrasound tech was going to tell me my baby was gone.. She actually started her first sentence with "As hard as this is.." but she was telling me to hold my breath so she could see the heartbeat more clearly! We got to see the little heartbeat.. Its 142 bpm. so thats really good! The gestational sac was measuring 6weeks 4days, and the Yolk Sac 6weeks 2days.. By my calculations I'm 6 weeks 3days.. so thats pretty much perfect! My RE said every thing looks good, but he wants me to come back in a week, just to keep an eye on everything due to the spotting.. So I won't be graduating to my OB just yet..
But thats okay.. I will take another opportunity to see my little one! They didnt give us any pictures to take home today.. But I'm gonna make Jeff ask for them next week.
I am still having spotting, but its very light, and for the most part brown. (i did have a bit of red yesterday, which freaked me out big time). The Dr didn't give me an explanation for the spotting at all.. He just keeps saying its something that happens a lot, and there is nothing they can really do to stop it. He said that bedrest won't really even help. (From what i have heard, it might help stop spotting, but it won't prevent a miscarriage). If it keeps up, i'm certainly going to want a reason for it.. but for now, I'm just happy my little one is okay!
